(Munich, April 29, 2024) Schiedel International announced the appointment of Alberto Kölmel as the CEO and President of Schiedel International effective May 1. Kölmel succeeds Alessandro Cappellini, who has assumed the role of Managing Director Solar at BMI Group. BMI Group and Schiedel International are Standard Industries companies. Schiedel, Europe’s leading supplier of chimneys, stoves and ventilation systems, is an independent business of BMI Group.

Kölmel joins Schiedel from BMI where he made a significant impact as the Director of Marketing & Category Management D-A-CH, building and leading a strong category focused team with a consistent emphasis on customers and market growth. He has a more than 20-year history with BMI and its brands having first joined Braas Monier Building Group in Germany in 2002.
